Bar Shake is named after the famous cocktail making technique called The Hard Shake. With a focus on Japanese Crafted spirits and famous Japanese cocktails, Bar Shake is the home of Malaysia's top Japanese bartender: professional mixologist Osamu Kinugawa. Master Osamu Kinugawa previous had a famous bar in Roppongi Japan, but he was drawn to the lifestyle in Kuala Lumpur and decided to settle here.
Throughout the process of this project, one could not help but appreciate the rich, 90-year history in Japan's cocktail industry. Bar Shake was designed as a perfect complement to Master Osamu Kinugawa and his technique, as the space is specially his. In true Japanese spirit, we paid extreme, uncompromising care and attention to detail to the proportions and texture of the bar.
